Somewhere in Haiku there is a database of timezones and their daylight
savings information. Because that info is used to select a timezone in
the prefs right?
The timezone data comes from ICU and is stored in libicudata.
Heh... (:-/) Got to say this seems like a slight step backwards.
I remember 8 years(?) back, when they changed Daylight Savings
here in the US, and sent all the PCs crazy. It turned out, though,
that BeOS used the same tz files as Linux, so I was able to create
a file with adjusted dates in Linux, and happily copy it into BeOS.
If they decided to mess us up again, would we just have to wait
for a new libicudata to fix things?
