ConneX mentioned that you were having trouble getting BeShare or an IRC 
client working in BeOS....

I've attached a  howto_Vision.zip in this email.  It details step-by-
step how to configure Vision to connect to irc.freenode.net and join 
#haiku and #beos

you can download vision from  http://www.bebits.com/app/2623 
Expand Vision-xxxxxx.zip to /boot/apps 

open up /boot/apps/Vision
right click the Vision icon,  select Create Link->
navigate to  Home-> config-> be-> Applications    ( that will create a 
link the Deskbar's Application menu )
start up Vision.

follow my directions and hopefully ConneX  and I ( mmadia / madia ) 
will see you online :-)
