Most likely you need to update
your buildtools and then rerun the
configure
script (assuming you are cross-compiling from a non-Haiku
OS).

I'm actually developing directly within Haiku, so I'm just
using jam. I didn't think I needed to run configure
when using jam on Haiku.
I've been using the instructions here to update every couple
of days, so I _should_ be up to date but I can check the
package version of gcc:

Is there a better way to update? I can try again and
do another git pull later to see if that helps. or
maybe I could try a 'jam -a' ?

Well, I don't know what happened but after re-updating and all, now Haiku won't
boot...so I guess I need to download a new image and install it. Hopefully
that'll at least clear up the build issue.
