You can go through your BIOS disabling everything except leaving the very basic stuff. Maybe you can boot then? I read that other thread you gave and that person tried disabling stuff in BIOS and it never worked for them but still worth trying out. Make sure you try disabling DMA & using PIO instead in BIOS. Have you tried Haiku with IDE stack? You may have boot loader issue which is very hard to figure out how to fix because debug information is not available. If this issue, developer would have to read all the code relating to boot loader and try to figure out what is going wrong. Tickets need debug information, either syslog or serial debug output, to show what is going on. Haiku is not booting for you at all since you cannot even get serial debug info (hopefully you are doing this right). Try IDE stack & changing BIOS options, if no boot, then try to get serial debug info, if you cannot, then get a different motherboard ($60-120) to run Haiku. Your issue is most likely a) boot loader b) ATA/IDE or c) kernel. It really sounds like a) but worth trying a couple of things first. GoodBye, PS Without debug info, a developer would have to guess and change one thing after another and hopefully they get it right at some point. And would need the hardware to test out every change they do - lots of work hunting for this bug! _________________________________________________________________ Learn more ways to connect with your buddies now http://go.microsoft.com/?linkid=9734388
