Thanks to the dedication of Maxime Simone, our Google Summer of Code student who worked on the WebKit port to Haiku last summer, that port has been kept in sync with the WebKit source code. Recently, I have started to look into various issues with the port and have now a browser shell that is capable of rendering the Haiku website without visual errors. Currently I am stuck at making input fields work, but I hope to overcome the obstacles as I encounter them. Unfortunately, I don't know how much longer I will be able to work on this port. If all goes well, I hope to come up with a NetPositive style browser. I.e. no features except Downloads window and browsing history as well as other persistent storage needed at the bare minimum. Help would be much appreciated, but that requires my changes to become visible first. For the moment, I am struggling with the Gitorious repository that was setup for the Haiku port, but I have gained commit access and should be able to sort this out soon. Best regards, -Stephan
