It's actually one-upping National Cash Register, the company Tom Watson
worked for before he started IBM: National->International, Cash->Business,
Register->Machines.  At least there's some general logic behind it.

And, while we are on the topic, remember HAL from 2001: A Space Odyssey

H + 1 = I
A + 1 = B
L + 1 = M
