"Logged in" makes me think you're using "pserver" instead of "ext" in
your CVSROOT. And since you can only do commits (or removes, which you
were having problems with earlier, as I recall) via an ssh connection,
pserver isn't going to cut it. =) Try replacing pserver with ext; that
should get you on the good foot.
