Howdy,

just a heads-up that as of hrev46202 the previous stage 1 boot loader (boot block) will no longer be able to load the current Haiku. Depending on your installation method you may need to explicitly update the new stage 1 loader via (the new) makebootable.

Note that the build system also has makebootable which you can execute via:

  jam -q run ':<build>makebootable' ...

As a work-around you can also rename the "haiku_loader-*.hpkg" package on the target volume to "haiku_loader.hpkg". That's what the old stage 1 loader expects, so it will be able to load the new Haiku version.

The new stage 1 loader will be able to load the previous Haiku PM versions, in case you need to switch back and forth.
