Option 1 makes sense as long as the warning pop-up has a button that takes the
user to the protocol configuration view.

1) Remove the server page from that dialog. Ideally, we already know the
server configuration, and just configure it that way. No need to pop up
with that at this point.
If you really need to change the server configuration manually, you can
still do so via the protocol config view. We could even pop up a warning
if no ISP data could be found.
