I rather like AddElastic(), too, but I wouldn't object to any of AddFlex(),
AddSpring(), AddFoam(), or Humdinger's suggestion of AddStretch().
To be blunt, this entire discussion seems rather silly to me. If one
wants to be pedantic, none of these replacement analogues accurately
describe the behavior either (for instance, last I checked, an actual
spring that can compress to zero width doesn't exist), so what's the
point? Replacing one imperfect analogy for another is an improvement
how?
