Maybe a short and > friendly > welcome text suffices. As I said in the first commit message, I just wanted to play a bit with it. I chosen this leaf because it waas not the Haiku logo itself, so it can be used in development builds too. The message also serves as a more extensive text sample of the chosen language, in case you're not sure which one to select ;). It could also be a warning message ("this is not actually Haiku") in development versions. The idea was to get something a bit more graphical and less plain. It's a welcome screen and it can be a bit more creatve than other apps. If you don't like a background, perhaps a 'welcome icon' of some kind could be drawn on the right of the text, or anything else. But putting nothing make the window feel a bit too boring to me. If others think so, it's easy to remove the drawing altogether, no worries. -- Adrien.
