Not instead, but they'll get there, too. It's not just convenience to put extra
information into the file name, it also covers the cases where you have
identical track names.

Do you have any mp3 on your system without suffix? Any avi, mkv, pdf or mp4?
It's not useless at all, it's just not required under Haiku. Once you share
files with other systems (or the web) it becomes a pain not having the suffix.
Plus, you will probably use an attribute view in Haiku anyway (ie. something
like "Track - Title - Runtime" instead of "Name").

Besides that, the cddafs already added the .wav extension since I wrote it, and
nobody complained so far :-)
