Hey I'm all for being wrong but... on smartphones with 300dpi pitch
they do pixel doubling so 12px fonts are made twice as big to
compensate. px's have the additional benefit of allowing you to line
up fonts with images or other elements easily. Perhaps pt's could work
but it would be non-standard for web work, why use a print unit to the
web?
