#9952: Delay password lock for a few seconds -------------------------------------+------------------------------ Reporter: humdinger | Owner: axeld Type: enhancement | Status: new Priority: normal | Milestone: R1 Component: Preferences/ScreenSaver | Version: R1/Development Keywords: | Blocked By: Blocking: | Has a Patch: 0 Platform: All | -------------------------------------+------------------------------ This is hrev46007. The first few seconds (5 sec?) after the screensaver kicked in, one should be able to cancel the screensaver (move mouse, hit key) without the password lock popping up. That way, it's less irritating when the screensaver gets activated by accident when the "Fade now when mouse is here" is set. Same when it kicks in automatically after the specified amount of minutes. Think of showing a slide in a presentation for some time. IMO the separately settable password lock time doesn't make much sense. When the screen saver kicks in and nobody is there to deactivate the saver within a few seconds, it's probably save to assume the password lock should come up when the mouse/keyboard is used again. Why should the saver kick in in 10 minutes and the lock in 20? -- Ticket URL: <http://dev.haiku-os.org/ticket/9952> Haiku <http://dev.haiku-os.org> Haiku - the operating system.
