That looks pretty good. Just be sure to check the Keymap preflet code
before you try to implement keymap support, as I suspect that will have
most of what you would need (as Axel suggested.)
Also I personally think this would be useful in general as sometimes I've
had my keyboard stop working in Haiku, and this would be a good fallback
for that case, at least to do a few things before trying to shut down.
