Removing the OpenSSL zip file in it would have been sufficient. More
importantly, however, the "generated.gcc2/build_packages/openssl-1.0.0d-
r1a3-x86-gcc2-2011-05-17" is the one that is probably broken and might
need to be removed. Have you looked into it at all?

That was utterly unnecessary.
BTW, you can just do a `jam -q libmail.so` to check whether the issue
persists. If you have multiple cores or hyperthreading, also add the
option `-j2`, `-j4`, `-j8`, or whatever matches your (logical) processor
count.
