#6835: haiku can't boot on HP computer -----------------------------+------------------------- Reporter: the ringmaster | Owner: nobody Type: bug | Status: new Priority: normal | Milestone: R1 Component: - General | Version: R1/alpha2 Resolution: | Keywords: Blocked By: | Has a Patch: 0 Platform: All | Blocking: -----------------------------+------------------------- Comment (by stargatefan): In your bios settings. Is the bios option for Plug and Play Bios checked for yes ? is so , set it for no. Also if you have a thumb drive, put it in the usb slot. do you have a empty partition for haiku ? Try safe booting with APM,ACPI,APIC etc etc etc disabled. Your gtx240 should support the vesa driver just fine. I have had or tested all of those components and they all work just fine with haiku. -- Ticket URL: <http://dev.haiku-os.org/ticket/6835#comment:4> Haiku <http://dev.haiku-os.org> Haiku - the operating system.
