Comment(by thetick):

 Ok after running many tests with wget
 With Haiku my laptop maxes out at 1.2M Bytes -- which is roughly 10Mbits
 and with Linux the max is 2.4M Bytes/s -- which is roughly 20Mbits

 I would like to change the driver from a speed of 10000 to 100000 (10M to
 100M). Haiku is amazing fast as a desktop and it would be nice to have
 similar the network performance as Linux and Windows.

 From syslog the ipro100 appears to be set to 10000 (10M):
 2010-01-14 03:12:19 KERN: /dev/net/ipro100/0: media change, media 0x22
 quality 1000 speed 10000
