#11500: MediaConverter renders source file unplayable -------------------------------------------+---------------------------- Reporter: vidrep | Owner: stippi Type: bug | Status: new Priority: normal | Milestone: R1 Component: Applications/MediaConverter | Version: R1/Development Resolution: | Keywords: Blocked By: | Blocking: 11499 Has a Patch: 0 | Platform: All -------------------------------------------+---------------------------- Comment (by vidrep): I tried converting the file using different combinations of audio and video encoders in MPEG format, and only the combination described in the ticket produces the non-playable source file symptom. Some other combinations also produced small header files but didn't affect the source file. So, it appears that the alphabetical order theory may be incorrect. Over the next couple of days I'll try to document the results if different encoder combinations in a spreadsheet, and attach it to the ticket. The developers may have to consider only including working combinations in the Beta until all the bugs are worked out. -- Ticket URL: <https://dev.haiku-os.org/ticket/11500#comment:12> Haiku <https://dev.haiku-os.org> Haiku - the operating system.
