Furthermore, it can be misleading, and hiding information. For example where should a "still happens at hrevXXX" be stored? Should the field be updated? Should it lose the information it had from when the problem initially appeared? While it does happen that a developer asks about a certain revision (and it should indeed be part of the report), I think the status quo is quite okay.
