power transmission to me,
something I've never seen nor heard of before. Stangenkunst is my new
favorite word.
Everytime I think I've seen it all- one of you blows my mind. This is
ridiculously cool. And that blog was
hitherto unknown to me, it is also highly awesome.
I am the biggest steam-power and non-electric power enthusiast you will
ever meet, stuff like this is what
I love. Something about lineshafting, belts, pulleys, gears, and mechanical
power transmission with no
electric, it's deeply beautiful to me as a life aesthetic.
I was just looking these DVDs up before I saw this- my favorite TV show,
always, since I was like 8 years old-
The Woodwright's Shop. All hand tools. No electricity. Roy Underhill is a
boss.
