The digikey page says that they have 0 available of the MCP23017-E/SP-ND,
screenshot attached. I wonder what is causing the difference.


The MCP23017 is a really great part, we are using it on the Bricktronics
Shield for our low-speed IO needs (some things like encoder inputs and
motor controlling PWM outputs need to be on a "real" pin, but the direction
and "motor enable" signals can be on the IO expander),
