Thank you all for the suggestions, and thank you Bob for doing a test at the
shop! I went with straight up super glue (cyanoacrylate), and it is working
beautifully. I plan to complete the build today and will send a photo or two of
the results.

No treating, but as Jeremy said, use sparingly or it will cloud the acrylic.
And that was “Gel” with one L, can’t type this late...

Thanks, Bob! Did you have to treat the surfaces at all (i.e. sanding)?

I did a test at the shop using Loctite “Gell Control Super Glue” (from Home
Depot) and it worked well.

Folks,
I am at my wits end, and I am trying to bond acrylic to Wood. The best I can
find online is two-part Epoxy after sanding both Wood and acrylic. Are there
any other secrets that the collective is aware of?
The intended application is bonding a 2' x 2' sheet of acrylic to exterior
wood frame for hanging on the wall.
Thank you in advance,
Ryan
