Continuing my purge of everything I don't want to move to the next house, I have a dozen ATA 5.25" drives ranging from 40G to 300G. Most are Maxtor, but there are some Deskstar, Hitachi, etc.
They all zero-formatted just fine, but that doesn't reduce their volume or mass.
