I used to run a local spam filter called ihatespam that would maintain
friend and enemy lists, plus insert dozens of rules in the message rules for
outlook express to filter spam based on an ever moving target of heuristics.
It moved the offending mail to a spam folder on OE. The thing about this
little program is that it ran on the client machine. The only reason I
mention it is that if you're worried about spam, you can always turn off
yahoo's spam filtering (which is what I did) and if you get a lot of spam,
get something on your pc to filter the spam.
Just a thought.
If you don't like it, put this message in your bulk folder and forget about
it *smile*
Good luck.

Hi,

Yes, I found them, and none seemed to apply. I definitely don't want to
turn off spam filtering altogether or I'll receive every conceivable kind of
junk imaginable and I get enough legitimate e-mail as is without that kind
of hassle. Too many list subscriptions, ya know.

What's strange about it is that I'd been receiving messages from some
people, specific family members, friends and business associates in fact,
for years, and all of a sudden the spam filter throws their messages in the
bulk folder. What's really annoying is that I couldn't find a way to put
specific e-mail addresses on a "white list" and have all of their messages
moved en masse. I had to mark individual messages as "not spam" and move
them to my inbox manually. What a pain! If there's an easy way to do what I
describe, let me know.

Tom
