hi scott and everyone,

I know for many people the Owasys phone is old hat and only does e-mails and 
calls but that is all some people want to do.

I think there is still a place for it for totally blind people who have never 
used one of the newer phones with their tiny buttons and who don't want to go 
on the net, use a camera, , radio or mp3 player.

I have a friend who bought an Owasys in May, obfviously just before they 
stopped selling it.  she has never owned a computer or mobile before and she is 
absolutely delighted with it and so pleased she can now send and receive text 
messages..  i too hope the RNIB will replace it with something else for those 
people who do find difficulty using modern phones with tiny buttons.
