The young man finally asked the woman to marry him, and at the wedding
reception after the ceremony, he approaches the priest: "Excuse me,
Father, you know that I'm not Catholic, so I don't know exactly what
the tradition is. I understand it's customary for the groom to give an
offering to the priest who celebrated the marriage, but I don't know
what people give in general."

"In general," says the priest, "the gift is in proportion to the beauty
of the bride."
The groom glances to his new wife and pulls out a dollar.
The priest says, "Sit right there; I'll go get you some change."
