I have been staying busy with work and Civil Air Patrol. CAP is a volunteer organization that responds to emergency situations such as missing aircraft, hurricanes, tornadoes, floods, etc. We have three main missions, ES or emergency Services, Aerospace education, and cadet ptograms for youth aged 12 - 21. We teach leadership, emergency services skills, map reading, radio communications, etc. I mainly work with cadet programs and communicatios. I teach character development and I am working on obtaining my rating in commubications. We meet once a week but I work diligently to be prepared if I am teaching and to push my skills farther when I am not. I am thinking of taking a mountain survival course, so I can subsequently teach it at our local unit andtske the unit on a mountain expedition. Other than that I have had a hernia repaired last quarter of 2011, thats all better now. I am also getting out once a week with a friend from church, and teach Sunday school on a rotating basis.
