Hi Jann,
Have you got the holiday bug. I know quite a few blind people who've been on
the traveleyes holidays and generally, most comments are positive. I go to
Windermere every now and again though not on any of the themed walking breaks.
I'm not sure about how easy it is to have a volenteer if you want to go off
alone, not in a group that is. Perhaps you could phone whichever hotel you were
thinking about and ask to speak to the person who organises activities. A
friend of mine is in Devon at the moment and he'd got himself a volenteer to
take him out at the weekend.
Re the blonde moment, choosers. Will be in touch a bit later; Did you go to any
of the schools for the blind as one or two of them have chat lists or forums.
