thanks to those of you who replied with ideas on how I could fill my time, a couple of you suggested craft but sadly don't have that as an interest, we have a craft group within our club, they do cards, knitting and sewing, make models and paint and decorate them, also do jewellrey making and anything else that they can make or have a go at, they have just done a range of christmas boxes and decorations, other things we do include line dancing, swimming and exercise classes, woodworking and a group that goes walking, the group is run by the members who want to try things, both new skills and want to re learn how to do old skills in a safe way with sight loss, we have done a couple of courses for the gardeners and also some microwave cookery classes, we also have first aid, home hygeine and communication skills training schemes, in fact we ask the members for ideas and then try to fundraise for any costs involved which is why we are always doing fundraising and street collections to help pay for all of the days out and activities that we want to do, hard work but well worth it as you only get out what you put in as they say ha ha, keep you posted on our next lot of days out , Vanessa, Steve and Scott x x`
