Hi Vanessa:

It's interesting to read about the differences of guide dogs laws in America and the UK. In America, all guide dogs are trained to use the escalators or moving sidewalks in airports. I can't imagine banning a blind person from using them. We also have a law forbidding all public forms of transportation (including taxis) to discriminate against guide dog users. There has been a problem in the past with Muslim cab drivers not picking up a blind person if they saw he/she had a guide dog. They claimed that having dogs in their car is against their religion. We are not accepting that excuse.
