An interesting piece of information that may interest you: there is a mobile robot called Wolmer, whose interface uses gtk-server. Wolmer moves quadriplegic people around. It is controlled by EMG signals from facial muscles. Well, it is a litle more than a wheel chair, but it quite fun to see it moving around.
