Good morning! I am in a Board Meeting today for the Georgia Student
Information Systems Users Group. We wanted to check our understanding of
something. Concern is being expressed that many of our more advanced
students are opting to take courses via dual enrollment. Now that they are
not required to take EOCs in some subjects, our understanding is that an A,
B, or C is counting as "Proficient Learner," and Ds and Fs are counted as
"Beginning Learner." We are concerned that our scores are being adversely
affected because we cannot get "Distinguished" credit for our highest
performing students.
Is there any talk of assigning the proficiency levels for CCRPI in
another way so that we get credit for "Distinguished Learner" for those
earning an A in their college course?
