Burglary Synopsis:
On 10/15/2011 at approximately 9:50 PM, officers Old Saybrook Ct., in response
to a suspicious person call.
Officers arrived and met the complainant who stated that about an hour prior,
she heard a rattling noise in the backyard. She opened the upstairs bedroom
window blinds to look outside, and noticed that the screen had been removed
from
the window, and a screwdriver was jammed underneath the window, as if somebody
was trying to pry the window open.
No entry was made into the home and officers were unable to determine when the
screw driver was placed in the window. It appeared as if the screwdriver had
been there for some time because it was rusty and covered in spider webs. It
also appeared as if the screen had been lying on the back porch roof for some
time.
