Robert,
I believe that you may have your GPS set to detailed mode, where it will
announce each and every Route Waypoint. To change it to
Turns Only, you will want to be in the GPS program and press R for Route
Commands, M for Route Management and M to toggle to the
mode to Turns Only. You should hear something like Exiting Route Management,
Mode now set to turns only.
