It is possible to use a Bluetooth speaker with the BrailleNote. This isn't directly supported at the moment and it is required that one uses a Bluetooth adapter that will go into the audio jack and convert the signal into a Bluetooth one that the speaker will pick up on. This is a more costley solution, I think that the adapter nad speaker can be purchased for about $100. If one is looking for a cheaper wired solution then there is the Radio Shack speaker, which I believe Sendero is selling with the case. First, I don't think you can run two bluetooth devices at the same time so you couldn't use a bluetooth receiver and speaker while traveling. Second, Sendero is always experimenting looking for various add-on devices so they either have or will know about some small speakers that might work for you. Good luck. BTW, I use a voicenote, so don't have the braille display option. > ----- Original Message ----- >From: "Matthew Brown" <mattman1270@xxxxxxxxxxx >To: <gps-talkusers@xxxxxxxxxxxxx >Date sent: Mon, 11 Feb 2008 16:20:02 -0500 >Subject: [gps-talkusers] Small Speaker for Braillenote GPS >Hello all, >First, let me introduce myself. Name is Matt from Brooklyn, NY. I recently got a Braillenote with GPS and have used it so far with small earphones but really don't like something in my ear while I'm traveling. I have >been searching for a small speaker I can clip to either the Braillenote strap where the receiver is or to my jacket or backpack which will be near my ear >but not in it. Every speaker I have found is in a pair and not small enough to accomplish this. >Anyone have any suggestions? >I look forward to talking with people on the list. >Thanks, >Matt Brown >mattman1270@xxxxxxxxxxx
