Hello, I have heard of this loan, but can't remember where I saw the information. Not sure how to get that here. I fortunately was able to get my equipment, but wonder about the future what to do how to get what is necessary. What agencies started the loan programs? Karen and Harpo guidedog.

Appearently every State has an adaptive technology loan program.
It's a 4
year loan at 5 per cent. That translates to $23 per month for
every 1000
dollars borrowed.
In Wisconsin it's called Wisloan and the contract for
administrating it is
through an organization of Independant living centers. It will
cover things
like adaptive technology, wheelchair ramps, adapted vans with
lifts, etc.
Anything to help a person with a disability remain or increase
their
independence.
