Hello everyone,

I am really excited to report a few of the development projects we have been
hard a work over the summer which have been released!

Sendero is happy to report that the unnamed Parkways and Expressways in New
York and New Jersey maps have been fixed.

Bronx River Parkway, and Atlantic City Expressway's are both named again!
The issue it turns out was a slight change in the map format when TeleAtlas
became TomTom and the deCarta RichMap Filter that converts the raw map
format from TeleAtlas/TomTom to RMF wasn't updated, which wasn't caught by
any other customer of theirs. deCarta finally fixed the problem and we
regenerated the New York and New Jersey maps which have been uploaded to our
website. You can log into your account at www.gosendero.com and download
the updates if you use either of these maps.

If you find any other map with unnamed Highways, Expressways, or Parkways
which use to be named in 2010 which are now unnamed in 2011 please let
Sendero know and we will regenerate those maps for you.

Sendero is also happy to announce that we have secured our download website!
Now when you enter in your password or change your password etc. it will be
secure using HTTPS and the SSL protocol. Even if you go to
http://www.gosendero.com it changes you to use https instead and make the
data you type in secure.

For those of you who upgraded/purchased to 2011 maps from Sendero for your
Braille/Voice Note, Braille/Voice Sense, or Mobile Geo, your account also
has access to Sendero Maps for your PC which you can download and install.
Yesterday Sendero released an update which not only provides a graphical map
for our Low Vision users but also a new Manual route creation option using
your virtual movements to record a very specific route that you choose. So
if you don't like the route automatically generated maybe because it goes
through a section of town which is not safe or not familiar to you, this is
no longer a problem. Set yourself where you want the route to begin, turn
on Manual route creation and virtually move around the map and the system
will keep track of every turn you make and guide you along the exact same
path you virtually just travelled. If you make a mistake while creating the
route, no problem you can undo as many of the waypoints all the way back to
the start of your route and try again, once finished just save the route and
you are good to go. Then you can transfer this route to your portable GPS
system powered by Sendero and follow this route real-time just as if your
device automatically created it for you.

Happy Travels!
