Dear Petra, I went on my first route last night with the app. What was not described in the podcasts was that the app announces the points of interest as the end user walks by them. I live in Chicago in one of the most densely populated neighborhoods in America with many small businesses. In this concentrated environment of people, short streets, and commercial activity, the app was a little too chatty for my taste. In most communities though, the points of interest that are announced by the app can be used as reference points in a route, like unique features of buildings or changes in terrain. Also, the app MYWay light has a bread crumb feature that enables someone to follow the same travel route they used to arrive at a destination. This could be useful at a campground or the lawn seating area of a concert space.
