Hi,
I already have the user exits poi file installed, but the highways around
new York city don't announce the exits. Any ideas?

You are not crazy. Good suggestions. Some are already possible.
1. For vehicle routes there should be an option to select the shortest
route as well as the quickest route just like in other commercial GPS
systems.
* Already on the feature list.
2. I wish that you could merge two routes to make one route.
* Also on the feature list but not as high a priority.
3. When you recalculate a route, I wish that the whole route could be
saved not just the route from the point of recalculation.
* You can save the route right after it is calculated. In that way, you
can save the whole route and subsequent variations too if you wish.
4. It would be nice if you could save Poi's to your address list so that
the contact information could be saved.
* I am only guessing as to what you mean by your address list. You can
save POIs as waypoints into a favorites route. All the contact information
is carried over. For example, you may wish to have a favorites list of
restaurants. Just call up a route by that name and copy the point into the
route with the chord K.
5. A favorite list of Poi's that is saved in alphabetical order that
could be navigated by first letter navigation. This would be useful for
setting virtual positions and destinations quickly.
* You can rearrange waypoints by editing a route into the order you wish.
It is on the feature list to be able to have POIs sorted alphabetically
versus by proximity as they currently are.
6. In the set address dialog, there should be a way of moving back to the
previous prompt just encase you want to change something. Usually in
keysoft, the backspace key or dot 1 chord would move you backward through
the dialog. This would be useful when you are selecting a street, but you
choose the wrong zipcode and cannot fine the correct address or cross
street. You currently have to exit and start all over to try a different
zipcode. It would be nice just to back up a prompt and change the zipcode
that way.
* Absolutely.
7. I wish that Highway exits would be announced. I live in New York and
all you hear is that you are approaching a ramp, but the actual exit
number or name is not announced.
* If the exit is in the POI database, it will be announced. This varies
from area to area. Make sure you have downloaded the Exits POI file from
the US User zip file on our download page.
8. It would be nice to have a keystroke that would copy all of the turns
of a particular route to the clipboard.
* Backspace with K or Control C copy and append the last message announced
to the clipboard.
So there's my wish list. Am I crazy? What do you guys think?
