Mike: I would like to know how close I was in my guess of your place of residence in Chile. Thanks, John T. In a message dated 8/15/2008 8:46:00 P.M. FYI, we got out of Portillo just ahead of the monster storm. We are now in Santiago where it is raining, not snowing. There is a neat artistic town we may visit tomorrow. I may post another challenge now that you know what country I am in. I am also testing some new very cool POI features which will be in the next release of Sendero GPS. This is some pretty cool stuff, something not yet available in any GPS system. Charles is outdoing himself this time. Before anyone asks when this will be available, I'll tell you that we aren't even in beta testing yet so we don't have any specifics yet. Mike P.S. When I use GPS without maps with POIs only, this reminds me of version 1. It is still pretty darn useful. In fact, it has helped us find a friend's house outside of Santiago and our way back to our hotel in a taxi. Being able to see where towns are relative to each other is helping as we plan our excursions over the next couple days.
