Hi: - Sometimes this can happen, it usually occurs if you haven't used your GPS for awhile, or if you go inside a building and forget to turn your GPS unit off, this basically confuses your GPS unit, when this happens your GPS has to literally go searching for satellites around the globe to determine where it is located. Also this can occur on cloudy days, or places where buildings and trees are close in, and you don't have a clear view of the sky for picking up a satellite. All the best. - Kim Share your yesterdays, dream of tomorrow, but live for today!! I have a voice note with the 5.1 software and am using a sportster satellite receiver. At times it takes almost 10 minutes for the receiver to get a fix on satellites. Is this normal? Bob Heiser
