It controls the number of days after which an episode is considered
"old". This and other settings (auto.cleanup.played,
auto.cleanup.unplayed, auto.cleanup.unfinished) will determine which
episodes to delete on startup. These settings can be configured in the
preferences dialog as well. Episodes that have been marked with "Keep"
will never be deleted. Unplayed (boldface / "New") episodes will also
not be deleted by default unless auto.cleanup.unplayed is set to True.
