Good questions, Greg. Here is my revised list of instructions:
Rehearsal markers are the answer. Move to bar 9 or wherever and then:
ALT+A for Annotations
T for Text Category
R for Rehearsal annotation
An edit field opens automatically.
Type the text of the rehearsal marker. It can be as simple as a single
letter like
K
Or a word like
Wisconsin
Or what have you.
Now, press the ESCAPE key to close that edit field. Note that you do want
to press ESCAPE and not the ENTER key. ENTER just moves you to a new line
in that edit field.
Lime returns you to its main music window. You may need to press ESCAPE
once again to unselect the annotation you have just created.
When GoodFeel brailles the piece, it places rehearsal marker text at the
left margin to make it easier to find in a rehearsal situation when you have
the braille score handy and the conductor says something like: "OK, let's
take it from letter K.".

Using a particular example: One of the popular pieces which the OSU
Marching Band Alumni Band plays is a medley of all of the school songs in
the Big Ten Conference (well, actually, the Big Ten plus Four). I think
that we play 16 bars of each school's song. So, my question is this: in
Lime, how do I list each song I.E., measure 9 Wisconsin
27 Iowa
45 Indiana
and so on. If you are wondering why there are more than 16 measures for
each tune, that's because the songs have to be connected by a musical
transition measure or two.
We play other medleys, so my question applies in other situations as well.
