Here are a couple of FAQ entries written to help a Lime Aloud user. This
information can also be useful to a sighted user of Lime.

An note before we begin:
A system is a collection of one or more staves that contain bars of music
printed from left to right. The closest thing we have in braille music to a
system is the braille parallel which is a collection of one or more braille
lines that contain musical measures from left to right.

Entering Bar Lines

To enter a double bar:

Move to the first note of the measure after which you want to place the
double bar.

To place a double bar at the end of the piece:

Press CONTROL+B shortcut key to open the Bar Line Dialog.

Tab to the "Place this Bar Line" field and arrow to "At the End of the
System".

Tab a number of times to reach the list of bar line types and arrow down to
Thick Ending Double Bar.

Tab to OK and press SPACE BAR or ENTER.

To place a double bar at the end of a section, perform same steps above
except move to the first note of the measure after the place where you want
the double bar line to appear before you press CONTROL+B to open the Bar
Line Dialog.

Deleting Text Annotations

To delete text annotations or any other type of annotation in Lime, press
ALT+LEFT or RIGHT ARROW to select the annotation. Then press the DELETE
key. Lime opens an edit field automatically to allow you to enter new text
for the annotation. You can choose to do so if you wish to change the
annotation. To completely delete the annotation, press ESCAPE. But to save
the new annotation text, you must also press ESCAPE. Not intuitive, but
necessary.

Another way to change the text of an annotation is to press ENTER after you
have selected the annotation with ALT+LEFT ARROW or ALT+RIGHT ARROW. You
will be placed in an edit field with the cursor at the end of the text. Use
standard cursor keys to revise and be sure to press ESCAPE to exit.

Be sure to read the important information about annotations in the Lime
Aloud Guide under the heading "Annotations (Adding and Editing)"

Helpful Hint: If Lime Aloud ever says "No note selected", press ESCAPE to
reset highlight or F5 to move to a specific measure.
