As Albert says, if the new time signature is just a different way to count the beats in the existing measures, all you need to do is to move to the first note or rest and press CONTROL+T to open the Time Signature dialog. Type in the new numerator and denominator and take all other default values. If you have set up your piece for an incorrect time signature, you must insert new measures using the desired time signature. Then you must move to the start of that new section and press CONTROL+T to insert the new time signature. In other words, you need to follow two separate steps in Lime: 1. Insert the measures you want 2. Enter the new time signature. To insert the new measures, rests CONTROL+I. In the Insert Measures dialog that appears, you can specify the numerator and denominator for the new empty measures. But Lime still needs you to specify the new time signature separately. Move to the start of the new section of measures which you have inserted and press CONTROL+T to specify the new time signature. If the measures of music in the original time signature are empty or unwanted, move to the first unwanted measure and type CONTROL+D to open the Delete Measures dialog. Is it possible to change the time signature for a piece _after you've laid everything out--done the naming of parts, have them where you want them, and established the initial key, etc? I know that you can change the time signature for a measure within a piece, but didn't see anything in the archives re changing things for the entire piece. Is this possible, or do I just scrap the thing and start all over?
