Hey! Welcome back everybody!
I hope classes are going well so far. I can't wait to see everybody
tonight at the Convocation Par-tay. In case you've been living under a
rock for the past week and don't know, Convocation is a little get
together thrown by the department every year where we can meet the
faculty, catch up with old friends, and become familiar with new faces.
It's TONIGHT in Black Box. There is also FREE PIZZA! You don't have
to be a theatre major. Anyone interested in theatre at Mason is
welcome!
CAN THE PLAYERS COME OUT TO PLAY?
At Convocation I will have a sign-up sheet for a group outing to the
Kennedy Center on Monday (Labor Day - No Classes!). The focus of the
trip is the Page to Stage Celebration, especially Lynnie Raybuck's
"First Flights" project. We are carpooling because if we get enough
people in a car to chip in for parking then it is cheaper than the
metro. We are meeting in the Lounge at 11:45am and leaving campus
promptly at NOON. If you can't sign up at Convocation tonight then
email me to RSVP. If you can drive, please tell me how many passengers
you can take with you. Bring friends! Friends with vans are
encouraged!!!
We have many more activities planned in addition to shows this year. If
you would like to plan your own activity let me know and I will do my
best to help you.
