IF YOU DON'T HAVE ANY ACCOUNTS AT BANK OF AMERICA THAT YOU USE WITH
QUICKEN, YOU CAN IGNORE THIS MESSAGE!
If you bank with BofA, you probably have already received a hard copy
mailing from them about the forthcoming update of their online services.
READ IT CAREFULLY, BECAUSE IT AFFECTS WHAT YOU WILL HAVE TO DO TO
CONTINUE DOWNLOADING TRANSACTIONS AND USING THEIR BILL PAY AND TRANSFER
SERVICES VIA QUICKEN.
They are currently upgrading the ONLINE systems used, due in part to the
fact that accounts are being merged into the nationwide BofA system.
Until now, your account was identified as being in California. They say
there is no change to the monthly maintenance fee for your accounts, if
any, or how you qualify not to have monthly fees.
Although they are expanding the account numbers, you will have the same
account number with a prefix added, and can continue to use the same
checks, automated payments and transfers will continue without
interruption, etc.
The mailing continues with a resume of your account(s), showing last
four digits of the account number, and its owners, and the name your
account will bear AFTER MAY 18th., and benefits available with the
account.
FOR QUICKEN USERS, THE IMPORTANT PARTS OF THE NOTICE ARE AS FOLLOWS:
BofA online services will not be available the weekend of May
18th. (Specific functions and times unavailable are posted in Online
Banking at their site).
YOU'LL NEED TO UPDATE YOUR QUICKEN OR QUICKBOOK SETTINGS FOR
STEP BY STEP INSTRUCTIONS FOR UPDATING THE SOFTWARE, GO TO:
www.bankofamerica.com/financialmanagement
BE SURE TO COMPLETE YOUR UPDATES BY THE DATES SPECIFIED IN THE ONLINE
INSTRUCTIONS.
THERE ARE SEPARATE INSTRUCTIONS FOR USERS OF QUICKEN 2012 AND FOR THOSE
USING EARLIER VERSIONS. BE SURE TO DOWNLOAD AND PRINT THE APPROPRIATE
INSTRUCTIONS.
