I found it while searching for music by Spirit. I had heard of the
lawsuit claiming that Led Zepellin copied part of one of their songs for
"Stairway to Heaven". When you hear Spirit's song, it does remind you of
"Stairway to Heaven". I saw Spirit's lawyer on TV and he said the jury was
never allowed to hear Spirit's original song "Taurus" that they claim was
copied. I guess we know who had the better lawyer.
Anyway, this got me downloading some old music by Spirit and I ran across
"Uranita", the misspelled title. "Urantia" was originally released on the
"Spirit of '76" album (May 1975). It was written by Randy California and
Ed Cassidy. It is not one of the greatest songs ever made, but they were
trying to spread the word.
In iTunes, it is included in a compilation called "The Mercury Years". It
is strange, but even iTunes does not like a search for Uranita. You have
to force it a few times before it pulls it up.
