Hi all A little event update for anyone that might be interested. May 15th Ride for the Rouge. http://www.rvcc.ca/Ride_for_the_Rouge.html Larry and I did it last year. It was a little inclement with actual hail up until about 11 seconds before the ride started, but after that, it was great and the ride went off without a hitch. Jim and Randy were there too, but were terribly afraid that the rain would mess their hairdo's and pretty shirts, so they bailed and went home. Hopefully, that isn't a fear this year as the weather looks stellar so far. A good recumbent presence would be nice. June 6th Ride For Heart. http://www.rideforheart.ca/faf/home/default.asp?ievent=334877 3 of us met up last year at the start of the metal fencing and did the ride. Jim and John are CRAZY riders, but we weren't ejected from the ride, or jailed, so it was a blast. We saw a number of other bents there, maybe more can come this year. I'm going to do the 50km again which rolls at 8 AM, so anyone that is interested, get in touch with me and we can meet at the gate at 7:15 - 7:30 or so and go from there. June 12/13 Michigan HPV Rally. http://www.mhpva.org/ A very awesome HPRA event with lots of different racing formats, including a practical vehicle competition. Has a BBQ dinner at a restaurant right at the track, plus free camping right at the track as well. This will be my 2nd time, Jim has gone multiple times, and other HPTA members like Reg, Carey, Mike, Jacek and others have gone to the event too. Great people, a full two days of racing, and a bunch of cool machines. Best parts is it's just over the border by Detroit. Jim and I are going again, so if anyone needs/wants to coordinate transportation, accomodations, cost sharing, etc, let us know and we'll see what we can arrange. June 12/13 is also the Newmarket Green Festival.
